Cosmetic Pump Manufacturer — Lotion, Serum, Fine Mist and Foamer Pumps

Jarsking manufactures dispensing pumps as part of the container, not as a loose component. Every pump we quote arrives fitted to the bottle it was specified for, in the same color reference, on one lead time, from one supplier who holds the tooling. Tell us the formula and the fill size and we will specify the pump around them.

Start With Two Questions: Dose and Neck Finish

Almost every pump specification resolves to these two answers, and a buyer who arrives with both can be quoted immediately.

Send us your formula and fill size
01

Dose

ONE PRESS ONE DOSE

Dose is how much product leaves the bottle in one press. It is governed by the formula before anything else: a water-thin serum and a body butter behave completely differently through the same mechanism, and a pump sized for one will disappoint on the other.

Get this wrong and the complaint is never that the pump is faulty. It is that the product runs out too fast, or the customer has to press four times.

02

Neck finish

THREAD DIAMETER 24 mm 24 / 410 THREAD FINISH 400 410 415 ≈1 turn ≈1.5 turns ≈2 turns

Neck finish is what the pump physically screws onto. It is written as two numbers, for example 24/410, following the GPI/SPI convention used across the industry.

24
The outside diameter of the thread, in millimeters.
410
The thread finish: 400 has about one turn of thread, 410 about one and a half, and 415 about two on a taller neck.

Once both numbers are fixed, the pump, the collar and the bottle can be specified as one set.

The output, neck finish and dip tube for your own program are specified per project and confirmed against your formula at the sampling stage.

Matching the Pump to the Formula

This is where most pump programs are won or lost. Viscosity decides which mechanism will dispense cleanly, and the chemistry of the formula decides whether air exposure matters. If you are unsure where your formula sits, send it to us: we size the pump against the real formula during sampling, not against a category name.

SMALL DOSE

Formula type

Thin, water-based

Toners, essences, light serums

These formulas move easily and need a small, controlled dose. A high-output pump on a thin serum is expensive waste: the customer gets more active than the application needs, every single press.

Formula type

Emulsions

Lotions, light creams, conditioners

SpecifyLotion pump20/410, 24/410, 28/410

Emulsions sit in the middle of the range and suit a standard lotion pump, the broadest category. Industry guidance reserves standard lotion pumps for products under roughly 20,000 cP; a richer cream above that moves into the next group.

piston no dip tube AIRLESS

Formula type

Thick creams and balms

Night creams, body butters, balms

SpecifyAirless pumpor a jar for the thickest balms

Heavy creams and balms run from about 30,000 cP to well over 100,000 cP, beyond what a dip-tube pump handles well. The correct specification is an airless system, rated in industry guidance to around 80,000 cP, rather than a stronger spring. The very thickest balms belong in a jar.

air liquid FOAM

Formula type

Foaming cleansers

Facial cleansers, hand wash

SpecifyFoamer pump40 mm, 42/410, 43/410

A foamer makes foam mechanically, mixing air with liquid at the pump head, so the formula has to be thin enough to pass the mesh. A formula thickened for a standard pump will usually need reformulating before it will foam.

airair DIP-TUBE PUMP AIRLESS

Formula type

Oxidation-sensitive actives

Vitamin C and retinol serums

These are the strongest argument for an airless system. A conventional pump lets air flow back into the bottle to replace each dose; an airless system dispenses without drawing air back in, because a piston rises behind the formula instead.

Customization

Color is the most common request, and the one with the most detail behind it. Pump shrouds, collars and caps can be matched to the bottle across materials, then frosted, spray-coated, electroplated, finished in anodized aluminum, screen printed or hot stamped.

Choose a finish

Custom color

Pump, collar and bottle molded to one color reference. Because a pump and a bottle are usually different polymers, a matched set is built from a physical color sample rather than a number alone, which is how the set still reads as one set under store lighting.

Production, 10,000 sets 30 days for custom-color pump heads and caps

Frosted

A matte, soft surface on the pump shroud, collar or bottle. On plastic, a matte printed surface is produced in two stages: printed on a gloss surface, then frosted.

Frosting adds 5–7 days at the sampling stage

Spray-coated

A color coating sprayed over the molded part, for shades and gradients across the pump head, collar and bottle, run on our own spraying lines.

Production, 10,000 sets 30 days for spray-coated pump heads and caps

Electroplated

Metallized finishes in chrome, gold, rose gold and brushed. Electroplating is matched from a physical sample, because the finished result is a property of the process as well as the color.

Production, 10,000 sets 35 days for electroplated caps

Anodized aluminum

An aluminum shell over the collar or cap, anodized in color, for a true metal surface on the closure.

Production, 10,000 sets 45 days for anodized aluminum caps

Screen printing and hot stamping

Logos and copy printed or foil-stamped onto the bottle and shroud. Artwork is built as vector files to the actual product dimensions, with 7 mm clear at the top and bottom of the print area; hot stamping is matched from a physical sample.

Printing on caps adds 3–4 days at the sampling stage

What We Need to Get the First Sample Right

Five inputs decide whether the first sample is the right one. Sending them with the brief saves a sampling round.

  1. A physical color sample

For any custom color. A Pantone reference works where no sample exists; a fully color-matched set is built to a physical sample.

  2. Size and weight targets

Stated up front, so the first sample is built to the right brief.

  3. Vector artwork

AI or PDF files, built to the actual product dimensions.

  4. A clear print margin

7 mm clear at the top and bottom of the print area on each part.

  5. A sample for metal finishes

Electroplating and hot stamping are matched from a physical sample.

Applications

Our pump systems serve four industries. In each one the formula and the format decide the pump, so every card links to the pump types that fit it best.

  • Skincare daily routine set of pump bottles, jars and droppers
    01

    Beauty and Skincare

Serums, essences, moisturizers, cleansers and treatment oils. A serum pump meters a fraction of a milliliter; a lotion pump carries the creams.

  • Fine mist glass perfume bottle with a wood cap
    02

    Fragrance and Perfume

Eau de parfum, body mists and hair mists, where an even, fine spray and a decorated collar finish the bottle.

  • Gradient plastic shampoo bottles with pumps
    03

    Körperpflege

Shampoo, conditioner, body wash and hand wash. Higher-output lotion pumps, foamers for cleansers and trigger sprays for larger formats.

  • Wellness oil dropper bottle
    04

    Wellness

Wellness oils, tinctures and topical products, where a measured dose and lot-number traceability both matter.

Frequently Asked Questions

The questions buyers ask most before they specify a pump. If yours is not here, send it with your formula and we will answer it against the real product.

Ask about your pump
What does 24/410 mean, and can I use a 24/400 pump on a 24/410 bottle?

The first number is the outside diameter of the thread in millimeters; the second is the thread finish. A 400 finish has about one turn of thread, 410 about one and a half turns, and 415 about two turns on a taller neck. They are not interchangeable: a 24/400 closure will not seat correctly on a 24/410 neck, even though both measure 24 mm. This is why we specify the pump and the bottle together.

How much product should my pump dispense?

Industry-standard ranges are 0.12–0.25 ml for serum and treatment pumps, 1.0–2.0 ml for standard lotion pumps, 3.0–4.0 ml for high-output body and hair formats, and 0.08–0.15 ml for fine mist sprayers. The right figure depends on the formula and the application, and we confirm it against your actual formula during sampling.

Can the pump be color-matched to the bottle?

Yes. Pump shrouds, collars and caps can be matched across materials and finished by screen printing, hot stamping, frosting, spray coating, electroplating or anodized aluminum. For a fully matched set we work from a physical color sample, because the bottle and the pump are usually different polymers.

What is your MOQ and lead time for a custom pump set?

MOQ is 10,000 units per SKU on existing molds. Pump and cap sampling takes 7–25 days, and mass production 30–40 days, counted from receipt of vector artwork and payment. Sea freight adds 35–40 days. Full-custom tooling is quoted per project; a new steel mold takes 35–40 days.

Will a standard pump work with a thick cream?

Up to a point. Industry guidance reserves standard lotion pumps for products under roughly 20,000 cP. Heavy creams and balms, from about 30,000 cP upward, suit an airless system, rated to around 80,000 cP; the thickest balms belong in a jar. Send us the formula and we will size the pump against it rather than against the category.

Do I need new tooling for a custom pump?

Not usually. With more than 30,000 ready-to-use molds, most programs are delivered by customizing color, finish and decoration on existing tooling. A genuinely new pump geometry is a tooling project, and our in-house Mold Manufacturing Center builds a steel mold in 35–40 days.

Which certifications do you hold?
