Brand opportunity

Deep-sea wildlife and sunlit shoreline expressing MAREA's renewal story

“Marea” means tide in Italian and Spanish. It gives the range one useful organizing idea: skin changes with its environment, so the ritual can change with it.

You don't
fight the tide.
You keep pace
with it.

Keep the vessel. Renew the core. Let each formula answer a different moment in the cycle.

End buyerDesign-aware skincare users seeking efficacy without clinical coldness.
Benchmark tierMid-premium marine care: sensorial, credible and routine-led.
Commercial roleA recognizable shelf system built to expand beyond one hero SKU.

Refillable platform

A premium object,
made to return.

The clear glass outer vessel remains in the ritual while the compatible PP airless core is replaced. The stepped cylindrical silhouette makes the mechanism visible without turning the pack into a technical object.

Range architecture

Four moments.
One continuous ritual.

A single recognizable vessel family becomes easy to navigate through short names, distinct formula-core colors and clear time-of-use roles.

Formula × dispensing

Four MAREA products shown with cream textures and users

Engineering principle

The formula and the dispensing path must be designed together.

Airless is a mechanism, not a performance promise by itself. The actuator, piston path, orifice and intended dose must be assessed against the real bulk formula.

Bulk formula
Viscosity, active sensitivity, particle load and fill temperature
Target dose
Output per actuation, priming behavior and clean shut-off
Pack performance
Evacuation, leakage, torque, repeated use and transport
Decoration
Adhesion, color tolerance, abrasion and formula contact risk
Gate 01Compatibilidad

Check formula contact materials, color shift, odor, swelling and active sensitivity.

Gate 02Dispensing

Validate priming, output, shut-off and evacuation at intended storage conditions.

Gate 03Use cycle

Confirm refill insertion, repeated opening, leakage, torque and transport performance.

Identity and CMF

Inspired by sea.
Distilled for shelf.

The wave crest and the colored inner core create two assets that remain legible on a jar, carton, retail display or social thumbnail.

01

Own the silhouette

The wave crest and stepped airless profile support shelf, thumbnail and search-image recognition.

02

Code the routine

Color changes by skin moment while proportion, typography and label hierarchy stay fixed.

03

Control decoration

One hero finish plus restrained print preserves clarity and reduces production variables.

Secondary packaging

MAREA ritual gift set with four coordinated refillable skincare jars

Teach the ritual
at unboxing.

The presentation set can elevate gifting and teach the complete routine. A fitted tray makes all four steps legible; a lower compartment can hold refill components, accessories or printed guidance after structural development.

  • Single-SKU cartons, day-and-night duos and four-step ritual sets
  • Folding, hinged-lid, sliding or slip-lid structures
  • Foil, embossing, debossing and precision inserts
  • Validated refill installation, hygiene and disposal instructions

Primary packaging, cartons, inserts and decoration can be developed through one project team.

Channel strategy

One system,
designed to travel.

The same SKUs can support different sell-in stories without fragmenting the packaging system.

Claim governance

MAREA sustainability and packaging presentation

Evidence before language

Make the refill story
specific and defensible.

The concept visibly separates the retained glass vessel from the replaceable PP core. That is a strong starting point, but every environmental statement must follow the confirmed bill of materials, refill design and target-market rules.

Appropriate at concept stage“Designed with a replaceable inner core.”

Describes the intended structure without claiming an unverified environmental outcome.

Validate before launchRecyclable, reduced-waste, biodegradable or ocean-friendly.

Require component, process, evidence-boundary and market-specific review.

The EU Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation entered into force on 11 February 2025 and generally applies from 12 August 2026. European-market packaging should be reviewed against the final composition, recyclability, reuse, labeling and extended-producer-responsibility requirements. European Commission ↗

Buyer FAQ

Before you brief the system.

Clear inputs early reduce sampling loops later.

The standard MOQ is 10,000 units per SKU on existing molds. Full-custom tooling and structures are quoted per project.

The referenced platform uses 30g and 50g formats with a glass outer shell and a replaceable PP inner component. Exact glass weight, PP grade, actuator output, collar, cap and gasket are confirmed for the selected configuration.

The retained outer vessel houses a replaceable formula core with an airless dispensing mechanism. Final instructions and performance claims depend on validated fit, leakage, evacuation, compatibility and transport testing.

Creams, gels, emulsions and some balm-like textures may be suitable. Jarsking evaluates the real bulk formula against the dispensing path, target dose and evacuation requirement before production.

Yes. Frosting, silk-screen printing, hot stamping, electroplating, color coating and 3D printing can be explored. Final Pantone standards, adhesion and tolerances are confirmed through physical samples.

Yes. Folding, hinged-lid, sliding and slip-lid boxes, inserts and coordinated decoration can be developed with the primary packaging.

Typical timelines excluding shipping are 33–65 days for OEM, 40–60 days for ODM and 84–110 days for OBM. The final schedule depends on materials, decoration, testing, tooling and order scope.

Only after project-specific review. Recyclability depends on material combinations, separability and local collection systems; comparative environmental claims require a defined evidence boundary.
